So I see a lot of people on here like this OTC tire dressing.

I got some and really like it because its water based. Goes on nicely and looks good... not too much gloss.

However, it doesn`t seem to last very long.

How many layers do you guys apply and how long in between each application?

I normally apply 2, just a few minutes apart.

It lasts quite a while in my experience, and even when its gone... it doesnt leave the tires brown and stupid looking.

i`ve been using it for about a year now. it lasts a LONG time for me on my DD. great OTC product in my opinion.

ALSO, I apply it by spraying it onto a tire applicator, and dressing from there. I find it much easier, and leaves a more consistent finish.

^ I do that too.

OK I guess I need to apply more layers. Love the finish too. No greasy look

Do you guys experience the product slinging onto the paint while driving?

^ No to sling.

I have not seen any sling, and my wheels are relatively low offset... so if they are going to throw something, its going to show up allll over the side of my car.

^ Yup. My wheels are pretty flush and I`m running 245s on a 8" wheel.

I let dry for at least 15-30min before another coat and no sling. I am not crazy about my tires so this thing being OTC and dry to the touch is awesome.

So good results... guys recommend it? I`ve used the Meguair`s but they sling.

BM costs like $4-5 so you might as well try it. Took me about a week to find a store that carried it though.

I just applied 3 more layers on waiting a couple minutes in between since its mid 80s today. Gonna wash the car in a couple days so I`ll see how it lasts thru that.

If I were you, I`d pick it up along with a foam applicator and try it for yourself :)

It lasts, and survives wheel cleaners and car washes. Just use an Eagle 1, tire swipe to apply it evenly onto a clean tire.

^ Ditto... pack of 2 for next to nothing. My kind of applicator!

I use a sponge as an applicator. LOL!
