View Full Version : Mini Cooper Help!!

Detailing a mini cooper and the window pillars are lightly scratched/swirled. These are the black ones that kind of feel like plastic... can i use a light cut with the pc and white pad or will this damage it?? Im not sure if its cleared or what its made of..

any help would be appericiated!!

They can be polished without damage with all but the most aggressive polishes.

I have a 2005 S Convertible. The A pillars and on my vert the area ahead of the canvas are swirl magnets - black and softer than the rest of the paint. I have polished mine with Prima Swirl to good effect and even polished my vinyl bonnet stripes.

Oh, BTW, I always try to get an extra layer of LSP on those areas just for a bit of extra protection.

i just did a mini cooper a couple weeks ago...the John Cooper Works Ed., It was a pretty cool car. I polished out the pillars with White LC and PO85RD. Came out perfect, you can view pictures on my website if you`d like.!

My car isn`t a cooper but I got all but a few of the deeper scratches out with kaio on a white pad on the pc.

thanks guys, last evening i used Meg`s 83 on a white pad and it worked perfect!!
