I met this guy a little less than a year ago at the cars and coffee we have here in Houston. Super nice guy. We have talked a few times since then and he asked me to detail his Enzo last week. I almost fell on my a$$! Of course I told him I would do it without even thinking. I went to look at the car to see what it looked like and gave him a quote. The swirls were pretty bad in some areas, and not so bad in others. The entire front end was clear bra`d, which he said he didn`t like so he was going to get it redone. This was one of the most DIFFICULT cars I have EVER worked on. The designer needs to be shot! The clear was ridiculously hard which was hell on the areas that needed to be hand polished. Luckily I had 105 and PFW. Honestly I was stoked to work on this car but I have to say I don`t want to do another one in a LONG time. He tracks this car (3 times so far) so it was kind of dirty in the engine bay and interior. Anyway, on to the process.

Process

Wash with Dawn

Clayed with Megs white

Washed with 1Z Perls

dried with WW

Taped up

Polished with 9227

PFW and 105, some areas required 2-4 passes @ 1500

White pad and SIP at 1200

Flex with white pad and PS

The hand polished areas with hand polishing pads and 105 2-5 passes

Re washed with Dawn

LSP was Zymol Concours

Interior was cleaned with a damp MF

Leather with Z9 and Z10

Engine cleaned with ONR and MF

Some before pictures, I took more befores than afters because I was running late on the second day. Some of the pictures have little tracers from the LSP not holograms

It is not as well documented as what Todd would do...and the work isn`t like Todds either LOL but I was very tired during and after working so I didn`t take as many pictures as I should have.

The front end trunk air intakes are a b***h to polish are they not?, that Enzo was trashed great save, as for the amount of pics at least you have some pics for us to drool over:xyxthumbs.

Aside from a logo on the pictures, a million photos, and some extra washes and what not...same result as any pro on here. :bigups

Great work! What were some of the tough areas specifically if you don`t mind me asking?

How stoked was the owner?

Well I didn`t polish the front since it had the clear bra, I was thankfull because yes the intake scoops did look rather challenging.

D Tailor, the hardest areas are where in scoops in front of the rear tires, and in the last picture you can see the gas lid. The area under that where the gas lid panel meets the rear fender is a royal pita because it has to be done by hand.

Thanks guys

I guess a carbon fiber shell and full harness capability is not a racing seat. I bet anyone with a 38 inch waist would not be comfortable in that car.

Great job on the detail, how many hours?

wow great work, and by the look of the driver seat, this guy must be really short. This coming from a guy whose 6`8" and built like a wall and can barely get into an Escalade. Great work

Looks outstanding! :bow

Don`t feel bad about not having eleventy billion pictures. I don`t need to see 50 pictures of swirls to know the car was in bad shape or 20 pictures of you cleaning the wheels to know you cleaned them. ;) I think you documented the detail quite well.

NRZ, it took 13 hours. I ran out of 105 the first day so I had to come back and finish the second day.

Mike, LOL the seat is like that because of me. I am only 5`6 on a good day so I`m pretty short. I had to move the seat quite a bit to move the car in and out.

Scott, thanks. I wanted more pics of the interior and a few on the ext but forgot about them cause I had to go. Oh well, thanks

Looks really good. Must be awesome to get into it and all but I do know what you mean about being difficult to polish.
