I decided around car number 4 to stop buying from dealers, and start buying fixer uppers from private owners- Fixing them over a period of months then selling and making my money back or a small profit. It`s been a great way to keep cars from being an expense. Having said that, there are a few on the list I wish I never sold. The M3 being the big one...I felt guilty I moved to NY and couldn`t keep it in a garage so rather than let it rot over the winter I sold it. :(
