Hello All,

Thanks for everyone`s incredible insight on this forum. I travel from NY to Santa Fe New Mexico in June in my 2000 BMW M Coupe. It is a three day trip in which my car kills millions of bugs and collects them at an incredible rate. Is there something I can spray on or wipe on after each days trip? I will probably not be able to wash at all along the way, and will obviously do a thorough polish and clean detail upon arriving. Just looking for advice on products that wont harm the paint finish, but can be sprayed on, wiped off with microfibers until I get to SF.

all best,

Jeff

ONR. Mix up a gallon or two, bring plenty of towels, and you should be able to wash almost anywhere.

Blue Painter Tape the whole front end. That`s what I will be doing when I drive from Columbus to Nashville for Import Alliance.

I think Duplicolor makes a spray on film that easily washes off.

Actually here it is: Shield (http://www.duplicolor.com/products/shield.html)

That`s certainly interesting.

couple of coats of a durable sealant wax like collinite 845 should allow you to remove the bugs with ease once you do get to wash it - therefore you dont have to worry about it along the way!

1400 miles from NW Detroit to just north of Naples, FL

2 days, rain, bugs, etc - no problems. make sure u get the stuff for delicate surfaces (its extra gentle), and tape top to bottom so that wind won`t cause any to lift up/come off. :)

not only will it protect from bugs, but little rocks, dust, sand, etc too

Oh no...it`s the Audi!

EDIT: Before you guys jump on me for not being able to tell the difference between an S2000 and an Audi...it`s kind of an inside joke...
