Quick question about #26 paste. Some of you will recall a while back that melting two waxes together would yield the benefits of each of those waxes. I tried this with #26 and #16 and worked well though I never used my `Meguiar`s #42`.

My question is, the remaining #26 I had was in chunks, so I decided to melt it down and pour it back into it`s original container so I had a nice, leveled amount of paste in the tin. Do you think by melting the wax to a complete liquid (in a double boiler) affected any of the properties of the wax after it cooled back down? It looks nice and yellow as originally purchased, btw. I was planning on using it on my SRT8, but wasn`t sure if it`s the same ol #26 I love or if it has now been tainted. Thanks!

it should be fine since you used a bouble boiler

and did not get it too hot

also if "your" wax is 1/2 #16 & 1/2 #26

I would think you would call it #21

or blackjack since htere is a #21:nixweiss
