Father`s friend has an old K Car, if it was still warm here in Canada I`d detail it... the paint is in good shape, etc. Owner recently installed fake fur on dash (I am not kidding!).

Come spring, I`ll detail it... but that leads me to think, what kind of wacky detail jobs have people out there done? Post pics if you have `em.

Fake fur on the dash of a K car sounds about right to me :whistling

One thing that happened while cleaning a Mustang Cobra...I was blowing the water out of a rearview mirror with a leaf blower. When something green and moving started to come out. It freaked me out so I stopped turned out to be a small frog living in there, I left in there :buck:

It wasn`t really a wacky detail, but I did a 92 Mustang 5.0 police car a couple years ago. It was fully dressed with light bar, siren, decals and everything. An official decommissioned police car. I was always a huge fan of those cars, so it was kind of cool to be able to detail one. Not many chances to work on something like that these days since they have all been stripped down and sold at auction. Only a couple official ones left in Utah that are owned by private citizens. I`ve got pictures that I can post somewhere...

Hmm... I can`t seem to get OCDetails to work right now, but I`ve got pictures on this page (http://www.ocdetails.com/html/products.html) if it is working for you.

There we go.. now it works. Anyway, here is a little picture. I thought I had uploaded bigger ones. This is before I put all the decals back on. The owner got permission to reproduce them on magnets so he could use the car as a daily driver and still have all the decals for shows and Mustang events.

Jngrbrdman, very nice one-time.

I remember going to Clearwater, Florida on my spring breaks (albeit with family) while in high school (18 years ago)... when the causeway got busy with people car cruising, you`d always see the local P.D. with their 5.0 interceptors parked in the grass median... one facing each way.

There was something intimidating about those 5.0`s done up in Black & White.

Did a car where the guy repainted himself...outside...in the wind...without prepping...puting an acrylic with activator on top of base-clear. Nasty. It didn`t occur to me to take pictures till after I started compounding, but here is one that shows half the hood compounded (many times) and the other half just passed over. You can see how the near half is all messed up.
