Like the title says I have a Lincoln Blackwood to do today, and I am a bit unsure of how I want to tackle the wood panels on the bed. Are they even real? Just wondering if I should polish them by machine or by hand? There are swirls in them as with the rest of the truck. Does anyone have any experience with these trucks? Thanks!

I`m 99% sure that the Blackwood only has real wood on concept/demo vehicles.

I`d still go for hand polish though.

There`s nothing real about the wood on the Blackwoods. I assume you would just polish it as usual, of course doing a test spot first.

Most (all?) wood in cars today will have thick layers of poly applied to the surface...it`s not bare wood, Bill.

Yeah, I figured it was probably either some sort of plastic or at least covered by something. Ill try hand polishing and see if it has any effect first.

Thanks for help btw!

Treat it exactly as you would the painted/clear-coated surfaces: A fine polish followed by carnauba. It won`t get much better than that ;)
