Ok so I was struggling with the major hard water damage on the wife`s Infiniti I30. 3 passes with the G110, UC and orange 5.5" pad with a fair bit of pressure yielded only ok results.

Inspired by a previous post of the same issue, I decided to wetsand.

2000 grit, soaked in water and a spray bottle to keep the surface nice and wet, I did a *light* wet sand, followed up by 1 easy pass with the UC on 5.5" orange pad.

It`s a miracle......see for yourself.

PS...I also discovered that NEVR DULL Chrome polish works great to take hard water off of glass/mirrors. Very easy and effective.

Very nicely done! Great photography on a color that is not very easy to get defect pictures on.

That paint looks better than new.

You most likely could have removed them chemically with a product like Valu Guards Alkaline neutralizer. Good job though.

I think he had already removed the mineral content, and was left with the etching, which, of course, would require abrasive polishing.

Thanks guys! I was just using what I had in the garage but thanks for the heads up on the Valu Guard stuff. BTW, this is my first time using a DA polisher. I got my G110 3 days ago. I`m pretty happy with the results. :)

You`re basing this on looking at the photos?
