Hello guys. My car was stored with a busted window after it was stolen with this plastic self adhesive stuff in the summer heat of NC, 4 years ago. The car is a project and it`s been slow going but I`m ready to get this crap out of my paint.

I`ve never sanded paint, wet or dry, never used a buffer of any kind. I`ve waxed cars before. Made my Sentra look decently clean(Gotta do that again soon too, good weather`s coming)

Anywho, this is what I`m facing:

The car was painted, then stolen a few months later, it`s never even been waxed. From the looks of it from a spot on the hood where the hood bent, it`s a cheap one stage paint`. I lifted the hood to rest like it is in the first pic and somehow the edge caught the fender. The paint just flaked off and I could see bare metal. It maybe prepped better on the sided. I`m almost certain it wasn`t sanded to metal. The hood isn`t original tho.

Sorry the pics suck, I`ll get better ones in the upcoming weeks.

Any advice?
