I am looking at getting a quality carpet extractor. I see most of the professionals use a mytee hp60 or hp100.

Are there anymore I should be looking at?

What website should I go through?

Thanks

Well whats your budget? The aztec hot rod and mytee lite II 8070 are also good options.

What are you going to be doing? Is it just for an occassional detail or are you in business? The Mytee and the Aztec are good machines. The Aztec Hot Rod hot Spotter is the unit I have. It is perfect for my mobile business! If your not in busioness I don`t see why you would need a big one!

I have the mytee and absolutely love it. I also use it for cleaning my rugs in the house with the optional carpet wand. I would also invest in the crevise tool. I am actually looking at the vacuum attachment for it.

Get a big unit, you don`t want to waste you $$$ on a little piece of equipment. Mytee is probably going to be your best bet!

Here is a possible option. If you want a small one look at the Mytee II. While it only has 87" of lift, which is very good, you can buy for about 150$ more a vac with 130" of lift for the Mytee II. If you are only doing 1, maybe 2 cars a day this is a great option. 130" of lift is the same as the vac on the Hp60/100.

Buy a mytee where ever you can get the best deal, I found mine on craigs list.

My suggestion is don`t use a solution in the tank.

I would search out some threads by Grouse on autopia about carpet cleaning.

I agree that you should search around for a good price. I bougth mine through Detail King Auto Detailing Supplies, Equipment, Training and Business Opportunities (http://www.detailking.com) They may not have the best prices, but have excellent customer service.

I also never run soap through the tank. I have seperate spray bottles that I keep solution in and spray directly onto the carpet and scrub. I then extract with clean hot water.

As far as solution goes, I like ZEP, which can be found at Home Depot.

We have many local distributors of our products across the country. Come may even have a machine on the floor that you can try out - make sure it works for you. If you post your location, I can point you in the right direction.

Thanks.
