What do you use to promote bonding/adhesion prior to waxing or sealing?

Do you just wash/clay/dry/seal or wax or do you apply a cleaner or a polish first if you don`t do any correction prior?

Just curious what you guys do.

Certainly used to be common practice to use something like P21S or Sonus Paintwork Cleanser or Klasse AIO. Certainly other paint cleansers and AIO`s as well, purpose being to prep the paint as you suggest. There`s also the Duragloss 601 Polish Bonding Agent.

That being said, more often than not, if I`m working on a well-maintained car, I don`t do anything more than what Luster posted.

Have you noticed any more longevity out of a sealant or a wax after having used an AIO product or a bonding agent prior to applying the wax/sealant versus just applying after you dry?

Yes a wax or sealant will last longer with an AIO underneath.
