1999 Chevy Corvette. The owner has never had a detail done and really wasn`t sure what to expect. He really wasn`t looking for perfection (needs some minor body work/repainting behind the right rear wheel due to a scrape) but to clean up the finish and add some protection.
Started with an ONR wash and clay. The paint was really gritty and there was also overspray all over the top half and driver`s side. The paint could really use a rotary but he wasn`t interested in the additional charges (due to the needed paint/body work), so I went over the car with Meguiars #105 via G110 using a yellow Meguiars polishing pad. Actually did better on the spider swirls than I expected, knocked them down pretty good. I followed with Optimum Finsih (the official name of the new finishing polish) using a black LC CCS finishing pad and sealed the paint with Clearkote`s Carnauba Moose.
Hopefully once the needed repairs are made, the owner will allow me to take the finish to the next level.
