what is the difference between glass cleaner (such as stoners, etc.) and a glass polish like duragloss nu-glass or 1Z glass polish?

Would glass polish remove etched or embedded water marks?

I clean my windows/windshield with stoners and it does a good job. Dirt and water spots are removed and the windows seem clear/clean for the most part, but if the windows/windshield fog up you can see embedded water marks. These marks look like the water marks someone would get after you wash a vehicle and water is not dried in a crevace (i.e. window trim) and it runs down the paint and dries. however, the marks on the windows are not always seen and I can`t find a way to remove them (if it is even possible).

did a bit of searching and the answer is: yes, glass polish should remove the etched water marks on glass.

so, what is the consensus on Z-12? Same result as the nu-glass but more expensive?

Glass Cleaners "clean" the surface. A Glass Polish will have a light abrasive that will remove bonded contaminants and water spots as well as leaving the glass clean.
