Hi Guys,

Just looking for some feedback and reviews on the new Kompressor pads. In particular regarding the velcro.

Thanks

I just used the Purple Compounding pad today with a Makita 9227cb. Combined with Prima Cut it removed some pretty heavy defects.

The reason I posted this thread was because when I first looked at the velcro I thought there would be problems with the back not sticking. Especially with the velcro they sacrificed to put the big "Kompressor" writing across the back and the way you need to push the cente down to create the sweet spot. Had no issues at all in the end and the velcro that is there did a good job.

Lake Country

Thanks! I wonder if they will make these in smaller sizes?

I`m thinking probably not. If you have a look at the way it is marketed with regards to the slotted foam and the "sweet spot" when you compress the pad onto the backing plate. I don`t think it would function in say a 4" pad.

I have the Lake Country Kompressor Pads. They work great. You can use a lot less product on the pad. No problems with Velcro. Easy to clean ! 5 stars !

I just got some from AG. I wish the weather would warm up here in the East so that I could try them out.

+1 I did a detail here in Chicago a few weeks ago when that bi*ch mother nature teased us with 45-60* weather for a whole week and have been itching to do more ever since, but 5-25* weather doesn`t help at all :down

edit: I didn`t get any of the pads but will probably try them out soon for the hell of it

It`s sort of a weird velcro design on the back, but seems to stick to the backing plate just fine. All in all, they are decent pads. I prefer flat pads, but they are still nice.

The gold Kompressor pads are my favorite. They are only available at CMA and work great for applying waxes, glazes and sealants. Definitely worth getting a couple.
