I picked this product up at O`Reilly Auto Parts last week. It was about $8. Meguiar`s lists it as being slightly less agressive as M105, but using the same abraisive technology as M105.

I used it on a car that had been painted 3 months ago with single stage point, with the PC, and the Kevin Brown M105 method. It worked wonderfully in conjunction with a 5.5" LC white, low pro pad. I then followed with a 5.5" LC grey, low pro pad and Clearkote`s Pink Moose. Man, I was blown away.

MY OPINION is that the Ultimate Compound is as good as M105 when used on with the PC, and the Kevin Brown method.

I have also had great luck with the Ultimate Compound by hand, when using a Meguiar`s Gold Class foam applicator.

I believe this is a GREAT product.

We have O`reilly`s popping up everyhwere around here lately but I have yet to stop by.

Longer than the original M105...I haven`t used the new M105.

i read somewhere that the "new" 105 was not new at all and that the formula was just the same. anyway seemed like a credible source. Mine flashes up quick I know that...LOL

This is NOT NOT NOT true. It was BAD, false information spread before the product was even released! :doh

I have specifically spoken with Mike Phillips about this, and he confirmed that there is absolutely a difference.

I have also used BOTH products and I can tell you that the new M105 is certainly different. It behaves more like M95 IMO in terms of the consistency and work time.

Can you expound upon the "Kevin Brown" method. I`ve read some of his thread re: M105 but I want to know what you are referring to specifically when you talk about his method. Since I only use a G110, I need to maximize what I can do with it.

I heard M105 shot JFK. ;)

Oh no, not that old chestnut. It needs to be made crystal clear that M105 has always denied any and all agency involvement in the JFK assassination. None of its agents were in Dallas at the time. American laws prohibit all M105 operations on American soil.

At no point did M105 retain the services of Lee Harvey Oswald, though international intelligence sources have speculated that he worked for Z***l.

Exactly. Highly reccomended (at least in it`s 105 form) and dirt cheap--sign me up.

I can attest that this product is very good. I used this in conjunction with a cyclo with both a green light polishing pad and an orange light compounding pad. The work time is long, it finishes really nicely and the majority of the time the finish is LSP ready.

I read that M105 has a cut rating of 12 and that Ultimate compound has a cut rating of 6-according to Meguiars.
