cleaning sheepskin seat covers

I just picked up a set of Hurrs sheepskin seat covers for my XR4Ti. They are a bit dirty and I was wondering how I should go about cleaning them. They are gray but have a heavy fabric backing, so I am not sure if they are real or faux sheepskin.

I had them on one of my cars and all I did was take them off and wash them in a washing machine, cold water, gentle cycle. I suppose if they are to heavy , you could use spray foam ,Tuff Stuff , Megs Quick Out , Prestone or Turtle Wax foam.
