1. Ridgid 4050 4 Gallon 5.0 HP (home depot)

2. Shop-Vac Heavy Duty Portable 5 Gallon 5.5 HP (lowes)

Are these the best wet/dry vacs for under $100 out right now? Thanks.

I just got a wall mount (5hp, 5gal) Craftsman for my garage. It was $99.99...

Yup, the only thing I think it needs is a longer hose. If you leave it on the wall it is a bear to get to the opposite side of the car in the garage. If you pull it off the wall, no problems...

Yup, my only complaint is that I wish the hose were longer. It comes with a 7` and a 14` hose for a total of 21` but I like to leave it on the wall rather than take it down and walk around the car with it. A longer hose would make that a bit easier. I will probably get a 10` extension hose for it.

I`m not sure the model as I`m not at home right now, but I just picked up Rigid`s 6.5hp version that has the detachable blower. It`s been great so far and it was on sale at Home Depot for 69.99, that plus the Auto Detailing accessory pack put me at like 117.00 for the whole deal.

I`m pretty sure the Craftsman and Rigid vacs are identical as they have the same parent company. I know there is a Crafstman vac that does the same as my Rigid.

I have the same one myself. I love using the detachable blower--it makes drying cars so much easier

How quiet are these...especially the Rigid? Would the whole neighborhood know that I was using it?

Hmm was just at home depot and the only 6.5hp rigid was selling for over $150! Not sure if this was the same one you got. Could you check the model number and post it? Thanks.
