Has anybody had any luck polishing out blue on motorcycle pipes? If so, what did you use? :buffing:

Blue Job Chrome Polish - webBikeWorld (http://www.webbikeworld.com/r3/blue-job/blue-job-chrome-polish.htm)

This stuff is supposed to work really well.

X2 on Blue Job. You will not find a better product to take away discoloration on chrome. Believe me, Ive tried almost all of them.

hey there

sure you are aware the blue comes from the heat of the exhaust.

same thing happens when welding Stainless Steel, there a acids that will remove the blue very easily (phospheric acid works)

((((((BUT))))))))) I have no idea if it is a chrome plated exhaust

((((((AND))))))))) I have never used on a cycle exhaust, but it works quite well on the stainless I weld.

I also use it to remove rust stains on the gelcoat finish of boats, but wonder if paint might not be damaged by it. If applied carfully it should work well on a stainless exhaust and probably on chrome too.

Put some Simichrome on the pipes and then start it up to warm up and then remove
