I am about to get my car detailed in LA, Yeah!
Do I have to give him tips as he is his boss?

tip if you think he did a better job than what you expected
but i would also take into consideration of how much the total detail cost
just like Valet .. i hardly ever let someone Valet my car .. due to it being so low .. but most Valet places have a set price of 7 bucks or so .. so if my car comes back the way it left ill just give him a 10

i would say no .. due to the fact that your paying him for his service already

Damn I just ordered it to. It should be coming tomorrow. I had no idea it was the old version.....oh well...........

Maybe he`ll go above and beyond and throw in one of the "Hey I didn`t charge you for this ..... but you`re car needed it so we went ahead and did it"
Those types of business owners want your business, and understand you`ll be back if they treat you right.
I`d say it deserves a tip, or, if maybe a 6pack of the good stuff...Who knows maybe next time he`ll make sure they take extra care of your car because he`ll remember you.
