Thinking of going for OID as a drying aid QD but don`t want anything that contains silicones, so is OID silicone free?

I`d guess no. But I can tell you for a fact It`s a dang good product.

Not that it "does", but silicone isnt necessarily, a "bad" thing....

When using Megs LT as a drying aid which has silicones I find it seems to reduce the effectiveness of my drying towels & makes washing them harder as the LT seems to `clog up` the towels making them less effective next time they are used. I agree fundamentally that silicones are not necessarily bad but I`d rather look for a `drying aid` QD that doesn`t have them. I guess OID may fit the bill as I`m sure you are saying it`s silicone free?
