Just reading the Optimum website Q&A, and one question was about using OCW by machine.

Has anyone done this and does it add anything to the look? Part of the joy of this product is the ease of just spray and buff, but I`m wondering if there is any additional look or durability from the machine application?

many thanks

I guess it is possible using a finishing pad you *might* get a touch more gloss.

I`ve not tried it either. Honestly, it kind of defeats the purpose of OCW. If I`m going to bust out a machine, I`m not using OCW.

^^ thanks guys - they were pretty much my thoughts as well...

I think I`ll just keep it as a spray product, although now it has got me wondering ;)

Well, I`ve read of 303 Aerospace being applied to paint with a rotary.

I talked with people at 303 and they stressed applying less is better.

I use to apply OCW with a DA. Yes, it *may* add a little plus. It is most recognizable on reds.

I tried the OCW I with a rotary, but it was not cooperative, as it left strange patches. I`ll try the OCW II with a rotary in the future. My rotary-fave LSPs are 845 and #21.
