Hey guys, I haven`t been on here in a while posting pics due to just keeping busy and buying a new house which needs a lot of work.

I got a call on from a shop that just finished this frame off restoration of this 1950 Chevy Truck.

The paint is about 5 months old and just been sitting in this shop for a while waiting for the project to be completed.

So without further adue.

This is the clay, it was very heavily contaminated but mainly with oils and grimy residue. I suspect the shop has been giving it regular wipe downs with less then autopian standard rags.... notice the dark brown and black contaminents tells me it`s not dirt but oils and such.

This truck just recieveds my stage 1 polishing not the full works so I only polished it out one time with the PC, an orange LC pad and some Menz IP. The paint was soft so the amount of correction with such a simple combo was quite significant.

Even though you can`t tell from the pics since they are all taken after the process was complete there was some haze removed which brought out the clarity and depth of this paint.

It was very overcast and 25 degrees outside so my pics will be limited to only a few. sorry.

Notice how bright the white walls are. I cleaned and buffed them out with a bristled brush attachment for the PC after spraying some 303 cleaner on them.

I finished off all the chrome and windows with ZAIO as well as the body.

This truck is almost 60 years old and the oldest vehicle I`ve detailed to date.

Hope you enjoyed,

Josh

Josh, I got to say that of all C&B`s I`ve seen - this one really stands out. I hope to some day have an old truck fixed up like that. Great job!

It was my first vintage truck, I`ve done plenty vintage cars and love them, if I had a choice between a classic and an exotic I`d take the classic everytime.... unless it`s a supercar.:D

Now that is a nice truck.:up

Yes, the restore was done very well and cleanly. It was better in person, the pics don`t do it justice with the dark sky and all.

Beautiful truvk!!! nice detail for sure.

Thanks, I only use the PC for waxing/sealing and my stage 1 process which is not a paint correction but more of a paint cleansing that will do some correction on softer clears. It`s more for the people that don`t feel like spending $600-$1000+ for the works.

That truck is gorgeous, nice work.

Thanks,

Great job Josh. Congrats on the new home.

Thanks, the home is a lot of work with a big garage that I haven`t even touched yet let alone set up for detailing. When I do tackle the garage I`ll post up pics for ideas on how to set it up autopian detail shop worthy....:woot2:

Nice work, I love the look of the old trucks.

Thanks, it`s a great looking truck, I only wish I could get sunlight shots.

Nice one Josh! I bet in person it dazzles with that color...

The color was like a dark aqua blue but with more blue then green but just a hint of green. It truely was georgous.
