Hi everyone. This season I had the pleasure of sponsoring a race team by detailing their cars before each event. One of the cars had Hawk Blues, which is a racing pad that yields a highly corrosive brake dust.

For the new year, I`m developing a package to prepare rims for this sort of use by topping multiple coats of sealant on the rim itself. As for the tire, I am not sure of what to use. The race team, nor myself does not care about aesthetic appeal, but rather something that will seal the tire and help protect from the harsh effects of this pad.

Right now I am using 5 coats of KSG for the rims, but am open to suggestions for a new product to use on the rims, as well as the tires. Right now I use Opti-Bond for tire dressing.

Thanks in advance! :up

Here is an actual tire-sealant made by the same company.

TUF SHINE Tire Clearcoat | TUF SHINE | Permanent Tire Shine Dressing For Autos, Trucks, Boats and RV`s (http://tufshine.com/products/tire-clear-coat/)

EDIT: Oops, my bad, didn`t realize they were the same thing.
