Another noobie question: The PC 7424 comes with a counterweight for 5" backing pads. I have another counterweight for 6" backing pads.
But what about using a 3.5" backing plate with 4" pads? I`m using the 5" counterweight and there is a lot of vibration.

the Bp`s are sized for a sheet of sandpaper
not detailing foam pads you will notice little to no difference between them
I use the 6" CW for everything

That is strange that a lot of people say this. I have a PC 7424 kit purchased from Autogeek and I have pretty much zero vibrations. I was prepared for the worst when I got it but I have been very surprised how easy and smooth it is. Perhaps you aren`t putting your pads on dead center. A pad just slapped on there and off center would cause a whole bunch of vibrations, center it up and it`s really smooth.
