IMO price doesnt really matter. Most people rather put P21S 100% which costs 50 bucks on their high end cars than a wax that costs thousands of dollars. Read the stickies and do some searching theres tons of info on this forum. Welcome to the boards and enjoy that lotus. Its an awesome car.

Hey, Welcome.

Here are a few RED Lotus Elises done by proffesionals:

Polished Bliss: Gloss-It UK Debut (Lotus Elise)... - Detailing World (http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=91380)

Detailing world is a great forum like this one UK based though (autopias better...shh :p)

But I`ve found that there are more write-ups there, so for pictures of finished there is best.

Here has the best community and advice though.

Here are some more Elises...

http://www.autopia.org/forum/pro-details-before-after/97396-swirled-up-lotus-elise-brought-back-black.html

All these are from the first page of the Pro Detailers Click and Brag section, search Lotus.

As we have all heard before, searching really does work amazingly. To see pictures is just another step up from recommendations.

Also check out the click and brag, regular.

On Detailing World there is studio and showroom.

That should give you a wide variety to chose from. And if nothing else just type in RED and see what happens.

Again, welcome to the forum and enjoy your stay:buffing:

thank for those links

it is always great to see such good work from others

i guess what i am more looking for is combos of products that people like to work with and what has worked the best for them for a 4-5 step prosses

products that work good on red paint and work well with each other

plus what should the PH balance be for washing the car

thanks once again for the links and like i said i love seeing such great work

to all of you out there keep it up

Zymol Concours comes to mind. I think the last red exige that we did we used Concours. It sure gives the paint an incredible glow.

i was looking at Zymol Rouge for finishing

what should i be looking at for the 1st 2-3 steps

cutting, polishing and glaze

i have had alot of success with Malco Tru grit with wool then move to glaze II with wool and or polishing foam pad then move to Plum crazy or Enhancer with walffel pad then into a finish by hand with a nice paste wax

with such new and advanced products out there i would like some insight on what works best together for red paint

since i have been out of the know and have not worked in the industry for some time you the experts would know best

so for cutting, polishing and glazing any ideas???/

thanks

Look at the mezerna product line.

Most people use menzerna SIP, 106fa, and po85rm Those seem to be the most popular. IMO you don`t need a glaze you can just for straight to a sealant. You can also try the new meguiars M105 / M205 combo. It also depends what kind of condition the paint is.

at this time the paint is fair

i can put up pics but it would not help as i will be wet sanding the whole car

so i am looking for product to cut sanding marks then clean the cutting marks then bring out the shine then protect all of it
