I installed my body kit which came with japanese instructions. After looking through the internet it said to clean with a degreaser (simple green max) and to spray adhesive promoter where the double sided tape would be.

Now I have green spray marks all over my rear bumper and my door jams :(

I have tried lighter fluid already without any luck as well as mineral spirits :(

Please help autopia!

Nail polish remover? Would that be safe for the paint?

No, I would venture a guess and say that`s too strong. Mineral spirits are a great solvent. If you want to try something else, you could always go for a Grease & Wax remover from a local Crappy Tire.

I tried mineral spirits and it didn`t touch it at all unfortunately :(.

What is exactly is acetone then?

Can you suggest a grease and wax remover?

The brand doesn`t matter a heck of a lot. What is your specific process for using the mineral spirits? Often times, it`s a fault of application and a small change here and there can make a big difference.
