This is an 05 Viper with moderate swirls and almost no rids. Total time for exterior is about 10 hours. This was the first time using M105, WOW. This is one incredible compound. Cuts really quick and finishes like a polish. With the PFW it finished almost LSP ready, just a little hologaming but thats it. After 106FA it only got slightly glossier and a little wetter looking. I don`t know if it will perform like this on other paints as well, but I am very impressed so far. Hopefully it stops raining so I can take it outside for some full shot`s over the next day or so while I still have the car. I will post those if and when I get them. Any way this was the process.

Did you use a rotary with the 105?

Yes. 600-1800-100 RPM`s. I was going to finish with the rotary like always but thought I would give the PC a go. I haven`t used it in a while but I think it worked quite well actually. In person the paint looks very wet, probably the most wet looking of any paint I`ve detailed yet.

Nice to see work from some of the pros here in Victoria. If you want a convertible sports car, Victoria is the place to be. The rest of Canada can envy our winters. We have been getting a lot of rain though, not nice for a convertible, especially a muscle car like that fine Mopar. I had a cop pull me over one night for going too slow. I explained that my Mustang behaves differently on a wet road than his heavy six cylinder sedan. I go very smooth on the gas pedal because I hate having dirt spin up all over my quarter panel. I bet the cop wasn`t expecting to hear my fear of micro-marring the clear coat.

Hey Tibbs, I`m actually in Nanaimo. Good to see another islander on Autopia, welcome.

I figured you were up island with all the trees in the background. Not too many places in Victoria offer a view like that. I used to rent a cabin at westwood lake every mayday weekend. I remember taking a pedal boat way out to where the old trees stick up out of the water. Nanaimo has a good car show, I won a few hundred on a fifty fifty draw a few years ago. My dad always used to tell me there were sasquatch in those forests:chuckle:

I actually found Autopia a year ago but only recently joined. Canadian Tire used to be the only place I went for car care products. After finding this site I started buying online. I try and support local business, but there`s nowhere local that sells the boutique detailing products you can find online. Nice job on the Viper, it should stay looking like that for awhile, I doubt it will be driven much in winter. I love sports cars, but this is the last winter I`ll be trundling along in my Mustang. I`m going to garage it next winter and get a 4X4.

Thanks. I do believe it went straight home to be put away for the winter. What online stores do you purchase from? I primarily buy from eshine and autogeek.

I`ve checked out eshine but have never bought from them. I`ve bought a udm polishing kit from this site. I was happy with the result, but I`m thinking of buying a Cyclo or flex polisher. The udm did a nice job, but at high rpm the vibration strains my wrist and it`s hard to adjust speed on the go because the dial is at the back. I think I`d like having the u-shaped handle that other polishers have. I`ve started buying a lot from autogeek. They seem to have the best overall selection and I was impressed with the shipping. Got my order in 5 days. I`m considering buying some Zaino and Swissvax products. I also purchased autobrill sealant from exoticare in Ontario. I might do a product review of autobrill on this site.
