BMW E39 (5 Series) Aluminium trim

All the interior brushed aluminium-effect panels have a slightly aged and mottled look that I would like to correct prior to sale. Can anyone recommend a product to remove the slightly mottled effect and bring it back to a nice silvery lustre?



I have some Autosol metal polish which I might experiment with.

If this trim is anything like on the E46 3-series, good luck. It spots up and tarnishes easy, yet it has a clearcoat over the actual aluminum. You will likely need a mechanical polish and hand application.
