Hey guys, I don`t post much but I have some free time and am kinda updated places on car status so to speak lol.
I haven`t done anything with the trans am in a while. Infact... it`s beyond disgraceful and I really should deny the fact that it`s mine it`s in such dire need for a bath! But end of september a spent a good 4 days on my G5 getting it ready for the winter to come. I buffed it with meguires M80 speed glaze, then meguires stage 2 followed by hand applying NXT tech wax. I can`t remember who makes my buffer. It`s a rotary, not an orbital. I used foam buffing pads. Can`t remember what they`re called either but there the black ones that have the ridges in them. They work WONDERS.
I am very pleased with the results and have been very satisfied with NXT. I applied my first coat of NXT back in mid August and even when I reapplied when buffed it was still going strong. I only reapplied it because well... I kinda buffed it off. It needed the buff though as the everyday swirl marks on it were ridiculous and really starting to annoy me. The pics do it no justice due to the fact that its a silver car. My mom stated it perfectly that it looks like there`s no "grunge" on it that just regular cleaning leaves. Looks like it just came off the line. The fact that it has 50,000miles on it, you`d never know just looking at it.
Current "mods" are only minor aesthetics.
Tinted tail lights with VHT Nightshades
Tinted windows.. 20% over 35% all around with 30% grey reflective on the front windshield.
Debadged sept for the front bumper which would need a new grill.
K&N air filter
That`s all I can think of right now.
I have tracked the car at 16.1@84
Future mods:
I need to upgrade my headlights to either HID or projectors. They suck BAD.
Rims... the steelies aren`t cutting it and they`re all I have
Lowered... sky jacker kit has to go
and possibly change it to a GT body kit.
No real performance mods right now. I have a t/a that needs work and this is supposed to be my DD I just want it to look pretty lol.
Anyways... opinions/suggestions?
