I was just wanting to know if I could get some type of guide to waxing my van. I am waxing for the first time and just needed some tips and a guide to follow. I have Adam`s Buttery Wax and it is applied with a microfiber applicator pad. Any help is apreciated for the newbie.

Thanks Airhog.

Umm, wash with Dawn dish detergent, clay the entire vehicle, then use your buttery wax, remove with a clean microfiber.

Did this help?

Yes this helped but I am not going to wash with dish detergent. If someone can give me more in depth instructions that would be great.

Thanks.

Washing with Dawn will remove any old wax. Claying will remove any contaminates that may be imbedded in the clear coat. You probably have some marring that can be removed by hand, but a buffer will be much easier. Remember you are on a detailing forum and a lot of us are looking for perfection. I beleive you must care about your car or you wouldn`t be asking these questions. What make, yr, color is your ride?
