Best wax for long term protection?

I have used Souveran and love it, but it does not last long at all..



Looking for a very nice wax for a truck that will sit outside.. with this Texas heat need a stable Carnuba wax..



Any thoughts?

I`d look away from a carnuaba wax in the hot texas weather. Natural wax and heat do not go well together...I`d say go synthetic. I`ll let others chime in though...

I`d say collinite 476s or IW845 will both be your best carnuaba wax choices. As far as sealants go I`d have to say UPGP or Opti-Seal very nice easy application.....

Try the liquid souveran with polycharger. Durability is great. It lasts twice as long as the souveran paste.

Don`t even trying to use Souvie with Polycharger. Just buy 845 for like $12 and have it for the next 5-8 years to use for the winter.

Collinite 476s, 1000p, zaino, duragloss, and Klasse just to name a few. There are a lot of things to consider when you say "durability." Black car or white car? Rain/ snow, or lots of sun? hand wash or drive through? Is easy of application a big deal? I am thinking that you might consider some layers of different stuff to build up some really solid protection rather than one product, one layer.

Megs #16 imported from Canada (eshine.ca) or Collinite waxs are the corner stone of durable waxes imo.

Thanks guy`s for the good info.. looks like Collinite 476s is the ticket.. now I have to order it.. I wish they sold it in the stores.. just makes it easier..



I thought Harbor Freight at one time sold this stuff?



Its a Pewter color.. sits outside, blistering heat, rain, heat, rain, and more heat... did I mention heat? This is Houston, Texas.. we have "winter" so it gets in the 50`s at night.. woo hoo!

Watch out though as I`ve been seeing less and less of them at HF. And they are on clearance, so get it while you can at HF.

in durham they have a lot there and its only $9.87 a can, remember apply in THIN coats!

I`d go with Collinite or FK 1000P for durability.
