Started my very first detail yesterday....

I can`t do more than 2-3 sections before my pad starts slinging flakes (that IS when I`m supposed to take the pad off and clean it, right?).

So I cleaned the pad thoroughly, set it out in the sun and it was dry in a couple of hours for my next session.

That ain`t gonna happen today (no sun).

A couple questions:

Can you quick-dry these pads? Like in a clothes dryer?

Does the pad have to be absolutely bone-dry throughout before you can use it?

Usually I attach it to a rotary or even a PC and let it spin dry at low speed.

I converted my cheap Harbor Freight into a pad cleaner/dryer.

I`ve been doing a lot of polishing with the Cyclos lately and I`ve been able to use just *one* set of each type of pad.

I clean the pads as needed with a cotton towel and #34. And I`m careful to not use excessive amounts of product.
