What is the durability like with DG AquaWax? I`ve been using OCW on top of ZCS as a booster with about 2-3 months before it starts to loose it`s slickness and was thinking of giving AW a try.

I think that OCW has the upper hand in durability. Not by much but by a little. I`ve yet to use the new forumla OCW so maybe that margin is even larger now. However I`m an AW user anyhow as I find it much easier to work with.

You should get a good month out of Aqua wax.

What are you putting it on top of ?

Does anyone have any bonding or bad experience put it on top of a LSP ?

I think DG AW is great stuff as well as the rest of their line .

Currently using a coat of ZAIO and a coat of ZCS then after 24hours add a coat of OCW and then additional quotes until my next full detail (have to get through winter). Once the ZAIO and ZCS are gone plan to switch to Optimum PoliSeal and OptiSeal.

I`ve gotten close to two months of durability from AW. It was still going strong when I decided to strip it and go with something else. AW`s good stuff.

I love my Aquawax, easy to use, and it works well on wheels.

I`ve got both. I am not sure what lasts longer, but I have a sneaking suspicision that OCWv2 and DGAW are close and OCW might last a tad longer. Many people on this board will say DGAW lasts longer.

However, DGAW is easier to apply, never streaks, and costs a lot less. DGAW is about 8-9 bucks for a 22oz bottle, OCW is $15 + S&H for 17oz. However, OCW smells a heck of a lot better.

If you go by the gallon, overall cost per volume starts to even out with OCW being about 25% more expensive.

I agree that AW is easier to apply. I think that OCW lasts a bit longer, but both products are easy and quick enough to apply once a week.

AW is awesome stuff. I don`t really know how long it lasts though because I apply it almost every wash.

I`m an AW addict. I no longer feel my wash is complete without it :chuckle: Part of this reason is because it is so terribly simple to use, works great on the windows, and I love the slickness of the paint after it`s applied.

Aw is so cool it is scary. You can seal a car in minutes and the surface gets slicker overnight. Considering that, a 1-2 month durability is not bad at all. I top every wax or sealant on my cars with Aquawax. Like twitch said, just do it every time you wash.

I too am a big fan of AW. Cannot tell you how long it lasts because I use it almost after every wash.

great on paint, rims and my absolute favorite on windows. never streaks and leaves the glass smooth and slick...on windows aw is highly underrated.

just a light spritz on a waffle weave towel or even a garden variety mf works great.
