I have no idea what orange, yellow, and black pads might be, but....

For polishes, and that includes swirl removers, I use a polishing pad.
Speed from 4 to 6 on the PC.

For LSP`s I use a finishing pad.
Speed of 2 to 4.

Artic, you should get together with machB5, he has alomst the same identical question.

Pads colors are different for different manufacturers, what might be polishing pad for one could be a finishing pad for another.
You may want to go to topicare`s site to fine out what each pad is, so we can better answer your question.

I also pretty much follow what Charles does in regards to pad/product and speed.

Along with Beanbag`s Abrasiveness Breakdown (sounds like a new dance beat :) ), the best reference link I`ve seen for pads. Thanks!!! :holiday:

Stick with just one or two companys to make things easier.

If your using the ssr`s products by poorboys only use the lake country pads.(to keep it simple and effective)

also they have a chart that shows the use for the pads.
