Alright so, I just did my first big detail in awhile today! Turned out pretty nice. It was an 08 NHBP Si. That color is so hard to work with. It shows all the imperfections! Plus, it shows dust so fast! But, in the end, it did look good! Man I wish that was my car! Here it is...

Process:

Wash

Clay

Meguiars ScratchX

Meguiars Step 2 Polish

Meguars Show Car Glaze 7

Meguars Step 3 Wax

Before I started:

Looks good and you`ve got some skill, especially for what products your using. Ditch the OTC stuff and get some Menz stuff and a DA, if your not already using one, and you`ll perfect that. I say this because I can still see some VERY light swirling and scratches.

Yeah, I know. I ordered a PC but, it didn`t come in on time so, I ended up having to use the CHEAP one that I had. But, it will be here in time for my next detail though! Yeah, I wasn`t 100% satisfied with the results. I still need to get some stuff. Lighting, more products, and I also want to get a tarp to put on the side of the canopy where the sun shines since I don`t have acess to a garage. Thanks for the compliment though man.

But, I`m happy with the way it turned out with what I used.

Nice turn out! Though I`d definitely recommend a different technique with your masking :). Use some thinner tape and try to be more precise with the masking, as it will make your job a lot easier. Leaving those "loose ends" poses danger of getting the tape glue caught up in the polisher thus transferring it to the paint... and that`s a mess when it happens :)

This is what im talking about !!!! dont tell him I still see scratches, and you should use this product. Man thats harsh words for someone how went out of there way to post a detail they were proud of. Take your frustrations out on your dog dude. I would have said that looks awesome, and it does. I love the photo of the pigment. GREAT JOB DUDE !
