Hey,

The kit I have comes with "Carnauba Cleaner Wax", should I apply another wax over this, or will it be ok?

This is the kit:

Only the clay bar and detailer are used together. The little bottle of wax is a freebie.

Yes, you need to wax after you`ve clayed -- but which wax you use is your choice. There`s nothing special about the using the Mother`s wax in conjunction with their claybar. Use what you want.

Personally, I think it`s not a bad wax, but there are better products out there.

Good advice from langod. Its worth noting one thing that i see alot of people on here not doing, cleaning the paintwork with a chemical cleaner. The claybar kit has everything you need to detail your car minus an abrasive polish.

The cleaner wax will clean the pores of your paintwork and remove some stains in the paintwork. I have used other nuba waxes over the Mothers cleaner wax.

Mothers Cleaner Wax looks good but isn`t as durable as some non-cleaning waxes (but better than some others :o )

I`d use the cleaner wax to chemically clean the surface after claying, though.

FailSuace- Welcome to Autopia!

Putting a more durable wax over top of the cleaner-wax is a tried-and-true combo that works great. If your local place has Collinite, that`d be a good choice.

Excellent!

Would Dupont Teflon work? That is the only wax I have laying around right now, and it is full.

I clayed it already, and used the cleaner wax, so the plan is to do a wash later this week if time allows, and throw a coat of wax on it.

I wash the car every other week, and depending on my mood I will either use "Wax as You Dry" or dry it and then apply Megs Quick Detailer. So I assume that will "help"?

The abrasive polish, can I use with with little to no elbow grease?

The car is very reflective, the camera does no justice!

The paint was very rough to the touch, right now, it is incredibly smooth :D
