Water spots on windsheild - only at night in rain

Hi folks. I did a search, there are dozens of threads on water marks on windows but I couldn`t find anything that seemed to fit my case.



I`ve clayed the windows and cleaned well with Stoners. During the daylight they look immaculate, nice and clear. Tonight I was driving home from hockey and it was raining just a bit. The windshield was very difficult to see through, it was as if there were hundreds of ghost-like marks/spots obscuring my vision when the blade . It`s getting a bit cool here at night so I turned on the defroster. Within a couple of minutes everything was clear again.



Does this sound like it`s temperature related or are there some hard to see marks on the windshield. Any idea what they are and how to get rid of them?

try using a paint cleaner on the window with the PC, i`ve used scratchx with good results. also, DG makes... http://www.duragloss.com/products/DG_0755.jpg

Thanks for that, I`ll give it a try. Is a polishing pad good enough or is it better to use something with more bite?

try the polishing pad first and go from there. the least aggressive approach first...
