Going about 18-19 mph and it ran right out in front of me. Didn`t even have time to brake or swerve. Looked back and saw it flopping around. On the way back it was laid out dead. Yeah, I took a picture. Threads are always better with a picture, right?

I`ll link it so no one is shocked by a dead squirrel and blood.

Did you give it a proper burial, or eat it ala Kill it and Grill It?

One of the editors for a cycling magazine got a squirrel between his front spokes and carbon fork. Shattered the fork and embedded his lower teeth in his upper lip, along with lots of scrapes, road rash, etc. The squirrel got it even worse. Much worse.

I worry the most riding out at the park about the armadillos. At dusk, even with three 1 watt LED lights (2 on the handlebars, one on my helmet), they blend in with the concrete making them very hard to see.

Reminds of the time I went out to the country with my cousin for a drive. We hit about three or four animals that day and my cousin didn`t even flinch. I asked him why he didn`t even try to avoid them and he said that at 100 km/h he`s not going to swerve the car or put us in a ditch for a rabbit.

At least you didn`t get hurt.

I would probably die laughing if I saw someone riding with this. No matter how effecting you`d still look pretty funny. But hey, maybe they`d work well! You never know.

Just get a Surefire Beast II HID light, but then again ~$3.2K for a flashlight is a bit much for some folks.

you wouldn`t have to wear the headlamp, you can always attach it the the handle bars...
