The other day I was going over the interior of my 2006 RX8. I picked up what I thought to have been a clean cloth, but it was one that had Mother`s Back to Black on it. Sprayed some meguiar`s interior quikspray and went to work on the door panels without knowing it had back to black on it. I soon realized my mistake as my door panels became stained.

What should I use to remove these stains? I can go grab some pictures if necessary.

Please grab some pics, as in that way, we can tell you better how to work it.

yikes...post up pics so we can see the extent of the damage. are the door panels all plastic/vinyl, or is there leather involved too?

they are plastic. The insert is either vinyl or plastic... either way it`s some cheap piece to imitate leather. Going to grab pics now... they might look crappy since its dark out.

I would just try to clean it off, it should be fine. Personally I would just try scrubbing it with some Woolite and water.

The best vinyl cleaner I`ve used is Megs #39 Heavy Duty Vinyl Cleaner. That`d be my go to.

I was gonna throw some of this stuff away the other day and I decided to just use it first. I was detailing my girlfriends 02 Acura RSX so I hit the trim with B2B. I then drove down the street to her work to drop off her car and wouldn`t you know, fing streaks all down both sides of the car! They were very difficult to buff off! I barely used any product, but Im guessing it mixed with the water under the side mirrors and ran that way!

I now know why I never used it!!

I think this stuff is worthless!!

Contact the manufacturer. I`m sure they have experienced a similar misfortune and may have a solution.

Good luck.

Now lets address how to prevent this from happening again; I suggest you develop a used towel bag/hamper/box immediately. a place where the minute you`ve used the cloth/rag/m.f. you disposed it so you can`t cross contaminate like you did. (NOTE: keep the MF`s separate from the rest.) You`ll have to invest in a lot of extra cloths/MF`s and constantly reach for fresh ones.

Hope this helps ...
