Had a buddy drop off his farm truck and said "It`s your`s till you`re done with it."

I knew it wasn`t going to shine up like new but with all of the free hunting rights he gives me I told him I`d do what I could.

Truck was bought two years ago with 120,000 miles on it and now is sitting on about 240,000 miles. Hasn`t seen a wax ever I don`t doubt and even made the comment of washing the undercarriage by driving through ponds after a rain.

Anyway it`s not a silk purse out of a sow`s ear like a lot of you can but I was very pleased with the outcome.

Believe it or not this was "after" wash and clay

In the process of deciding what to use.

Very nice turn around! It took me a second to realize what I was looking at, could have sworn it was a picture of concrete. That has to be one of the worst before pics I`ve ever seen. Definitely one of the better work trucks I`ve seen with a 1/4 of a million miles on it, after the detail of course.

That is an amazing picture. That has to be the most dramatic before and after I have ever seen

I wouldn`t even touched the truck. If it has mud like that on it, they have the time to spray it off really quick to make my life easier.

But kudos to you man!

looks awesome!

Nice work! I might have done a truck like that to return a favor but no way I would have cleaned under the hood, looks was it wasn`t opened for those 240,000 miles.

Didn`t really keep track. I just worked on it here and there. I`d maybe estimate 25 - 30 hours. I could have taken a lot further, especially now that I`ve picked up some new compounds and a rotary but it was getting cost prohibative.

Sheesh, did he even recognize it as his truck when he came back to pick it up? Great Job!!!

In true gritty farmer fashion he said "Yup......don`t think I could have washed it that clean." LOL later said something about the before and after pics looking like two different trucks.

I bet that was fun with a turnaround like that, the one picture of the hood I thought was a shot of your driveway ! :goodjob

Would take a long time to type out the whole thing but can give you a general list. There were some better products that I could have used, but didn`t have time nor funds to order new stuff at the time. I did more hiding than actual correction

Meg`s gold class soap

Meg`s blue clay with Last Touch as lube

G100 DA

Meg`s Pads

Meg`s Deep Crystal Step 1

Meg`s ScratchX in many many places

Meg`s #9 x 3

Meg`s #7

Meg`s #21

Meg`s #26 LSP

HyperDressing on Engine, wheelwells, tires, & undercariage.

Interior

Water bottle & Shampooer on carpet

Meg`s #40 on plastics

I think that`s the bulk of it. No rare or difficult stuff used. Just lots of time.

May have him come back to try out some of my new polishes I picked up last week.

Kudos!

Has to be one of the worst shape vehicle`s I`ve seen on this site! Great turnaround.

How was the owner`s reaction?
