Why use dawn soap when your going to polish the car the polish will remove any old wax build up along with the use of the clay bar. dawn is for dishes not cars.Just get a good car wash shampoo and not dawn.

When polishing I`ll always go with a concentrated Dawn or Citrus Wash, include a clay step and an ISO 50/50 wipedown prior to polishing. This pretty much guarantees an LSP/sealant/chemical-free surface and will virtually eliminate pad hop and chatter.

Sounds very meticulous and should look great when done. We`d love top see some pics and reviews of the products.

Sounds like a good plan to me. Dawn is good for washing cars prior to polishing or waxing.

I suggest you go over the paint with your isopropyl/water mix before you polish with SIP, and possibly again before waxing if you feel the need. Something I learned from DJ (Got_leather) at Reflections Detailing is that you don`t need to wipe off residue after every step. DJ polished my Dodge Ram with HTEC mixed with Meguiar`s #9 on a rotary, then applied KAIO with a PC, then applied Collinite IW with a PC. He only wiped with microfiber at the end. Prior to this, I used a huge pile of microfiber cloths on every detail if I was polishing and applying sealant/wax. Now I only use a few.

Your process, couple of questions, what do you charge for that type of detail, what condition is the car in? Thanks. Bob
