Bug residue

Hello,



I have a 2004 black Mazda RX-8. I had it clay bar and then waxed. In picking it up I noticed the front end had some "spots" on it. I asked and the detailer stated it was bug residue and that it had messed up the top coat of paint.



Is there anything I can do to get this out?

Yes, Compound and polish it back out. Possibly wet sand. The only problem with bug etchings is that sometimes the guts get pretty deep and you`d be taking alot of paint off the bumper, hood, etc. Unless your detailer specializes in paint correction I`d seek other professional help!
