Fresh Paint, Removing Bugs?

I drove 80 miles to the drag races yesterday, raced the car, and had a 80 mile trip back home at night. Man did I had a blast! I have NO rock chips, but it is full of bugs and dust :(. What would you guys recommend to clean them off, keeping in mind it`s brand new paint? Thanks!

Just wash it and do whatever you normally do for bugs. I usually clay bugs off with Sonus green Ultrafine Clay, but others use bug solvents...do whatever usually works best for you.



Only things that matter about the fresh paint are: a) you oughta get the bugs off ASAP and b) it`s gonna be a little soft so you need to be extra gentle to avoid marring it.



If the bugs have already etched the paint you need to polish out the etching. This can be more likely with fresh repaints than with factory/cured paint, so don`t wait longer than necessary to get on this.

agreed, a light clay will get bugs off w/o harsh chemicals.
