Do I Need a Finishing Pad

I`ve done 3 cars now with my Makita rotary, each time I`ve thought I`ve done a perfect job but then found buffer trails once the car is in the direct sun. I`ve been finishing with 106ff and a white pad. Do I need to buy a lighter finishng pad. I can`t remember what color those are, I think they`re blue or black. Would this guarantee I wouldn`t have buffer trails?

Black or blue. Guarantee, maybe. BTW I would use 85RD to finish down.
