The car was pretty dirty inside and out when I got the car to work on today, and it had light to moderate swirls as well. I only had 5 hours for a one-step with light correction, as well as a full interior detail.

Because this paint is relatively soft, I chose PoliSeal as my go to because it has the ability to do light correction, and it leaves such a nice finish afterwards. The hood had a bit of wear, so I hit it with Optimum Polish first on the rotary, and then went back over it with OPS.

Not only were most of the swirls corrected, the finish was glowing in comparison to when I started.

Interior:

Woolite clean on all surfaces

Folex on stains

Optimum Protectant Plus

Stoner`s Invisible Glass

ONR in door jams and trunk lid

Exterior clean:

Meg`s Wheel Brightener

Meg`s APC+ in wheel wells

Meg`s Exterior Trim Detail in wheel wells

Sonus Tire Gel

NXT wash

Clay with ONR lube

Polish:

Optimum PoliSeal on all surfaces. White CCS pad, PC6

Optimum Polish on hood. White CCS pad. Makita rotary 900-1500-900

Optimum Car Wax

Total time: 5 hours

Great job, the car looked pretty bad for an 08. You made it look new again! Good process as well, those Focuses are fun little cars.

Thanks! I was really happy with the way it turned out, and so was the owner of the car. :)

good job, you`ll prob. enjoy a focus detail much more when they bring the euro spec over in 3 years. I work in louisville where explorers are built and they`re going to start converting the plant soon.

NickDobby-It`s good to hear that Ford is finally going to bring Euro-spec Foci over here. I have an `05 ST, and while it is a fun car to drive, Ford has since backed off, and doesn`t even currently offer a Focus with 4-wheel disc brakes.

I`ve been waiting for a new, better Focus, but I don`t know if I`m going to wait two more years. I`ve been saving for a BMW 1-series, and may pull the trigger next summer.

TSC17-Nice work, and I think you are onto something with the Poli-Seal. It has worked really well on my Focus, and I have only a lowly PC.

Thank you. I can`t speak any more highly about PoliSeal...it`s great stuff. I always apply it with a PC. If I`m doing a light polish/correction like this one, I`ll typically use a white pad on speed 6. If I`ve already done polishing, and am simply applying it as a topper, I`ll use a blue pad and lightly work it in on about 4.5. Not only does it leave a fantastic finish, but it`s very easy to work with.
