I`ve even heard of people using kerosene for really stubborn wax loaded pads.

Yep, instantly dissolves the wax no long soaking needed, it`s the same way dirtbikers clean their foam filters. Remember not to smoke and also wash again in full strength APC and you have to leave it out in the sun for a day or two to dry out. But it will take the most stubborn unmoveable bulletproof synthetic sealants out.
