Hi, I recently purchased a slightly new obsidian black 05 G35 and after my first two bucket wash, I noticed that this car was swirled and waterspotted to high heaven. I guess they put a glaze or finishing polish at the dealer and the dawn wash took care of that =/. I`ve been on quite the spending spree lately and so far have purchased a decent arsenal of detailing supplies. Here is the pic of the swirling: http://img529.imageshack.us/img529/4609/img1575wa5.th.jpg (http://img529.imageshack.us/my.php?image=img1575wa5.jpg)

My plan:

PC with orange pad using Optimum Polish

ISA Wipedown

PC with white pad using Zaino PC

PC with black pad(?) using Pink Moose

Hand apply Optiseal

Hand apply (?) Carnauba Moose wax

I have been reading pretty exhaustively for the past month or so, and this combo seems to be the best at making my black pop while eliminating most swirls and hiding the rest. Any other recommendations?

Also, one other question regarding using Painter`s tape to cover the moldings. Which parts of the car do I cover? I understand that most things rubber should be protected against polish splatter, but what about the plastic along the side of the door and windows? Or should I just polish the plastic in between the windows as well? http://img241.imageshack.us/img241/3979/img1577uw9.th.jpg (http://img241.imageshack.us/my.php?image=img1577uw9.jpg)]

Right now I am just using rejex and Z6 and the car is looking decent I suppose but the water spots and swirls are driving me nuts. Please help me out =]
