:wallI have been debating over the past couple weeks with myself and others as to whether it would be better to charge by the hour to detail or stick to packaged prices that I have now that are set by type and size. My main fear is that I will either drive people away by saying I charge by the hour, or that if I do by the hour and I give estimates that I will spend a lot of my free time, which is not a lot, running around to not get a call back or the job. The second part of my concern is how to go about charging per hour when it is myself and when I have an additional assistant with me. Finally, are people charging the rate they are for their services in addtion to the cost of supplies or just charging a flat number that includes the labor and supplies. If any one has any opinion on this I would appreciate it.
