The bad news is that my shiny new GunMetalGrey got crunched in a rear-ender.

The good news is that the body shop did flawless work. It`s good as new.

Here`s my problem, O detailing gurus -- I just had the paint sealed with Permaplate a month before the accident. Now, 7/8 of the car is sealed, except for the new back end which has new paint on it.

Do I have the detailer seal just the back end of the car and carry on for another six months? Do I need to have all the Permaplate removed and reseal from scratch?

Should I wait a month (or two, three or four) for the paint to cure before I have it sealed?

In another thread, I asked for recommendations of polymer sealants that are comparable to PermaPlate -- feel free to chime in here as well.

Thanks,

GMG

Yes, wait. Use a fresh-repaint-friendly product in the meantime and by the time the paint has finished outgassing you`ll probably be ready to just redo the whole vehicle anyhow.
